Opportunities to help out in your community:

- Grays Harbor Stream Team | Grays Harbor CD A coalition of community volunteers, local agencies and the Grays Harbor Conservation District dedicated to the protection and restoration of streams that flow through the Chehalis River and Into Grays Harbor. To learn about the wide variety of hands-on environmental education and stewardship projects happening in the harbor or to get on their mailing list contact Breana Downs, coordinator at bdowns@graysharborcd.org.
- Chehalis River Basin Land Trust Is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserve, protect and restore ecologically significant lands within the Chehalis River Basin. - Clean Streams and Memes: Clean Streams and Memes is a movement to clean up the garbage off the riverbeds, shorelines, and creek banks in the Grays Harbor area of Washington. They have had weekly cleanup events on most weeks since the program started in February of 2013.
- Capitol Land Trust. Capitol Land Trust and its members have conserved more than 3,500 acres, and 39.5 miles of river shoreline, across 25 sites in the Chehalis watershed, including oak woodlands, forests, unique wetlands, working ranches and farms. Over 2,100 of those 3,500 acres are located in the Black River Watershed.
- Chehalis Basin Noxious Weed Management. Contact Sofia Sherman, ssherman@chehalistribe.org to learn about the INaturalist Program to document sightings of noxious weeds in the basin.
- Grays Harbor Noxious Weed Board. Contact Danika Davis, Coordinator and get involved in invasive weed pull events and public outreach activities. Washington State Noxious Weed Control Board
- Salmon Survey: CBC-fSH and the Coast Salmon Partnership developed a webtool to report salmon sightings. In addition to raising awareness about the number of places fish call home, the results will help restoration practitioners learn about salmon and stream conditions. See a Salmon?
